Design:
- Pros
– It looks amazing as a mini bag. Great for office ladies who don’t want to lug around a big bag while getting lunch. The design and size of the bag is sufficient enough to put your phone, some tissues and a coin pouch inside. Also looks great if you are on a date and want to have a light bag, you can definitely fit in a small lipstick and a flat touchup powder case inside.
– It’s made of saffiano calfskin leather which means scratch-proof. Hooray for durability and sharp keys. - Cons
– No coin compartment (need to use a mini coin purse)
– Not enough card slots (only 7 provided)
– Looks best on a petite frame when using the chain when carrying on your side, as the wallet is quite small. But if that doesn’t deter you, you can be like me and carry it anyway!
Practicality:
- Pros
– Spacious and can put in tissues, iphone, coin pouch and keys.
– Comes in gold or silver hardware in Nero. - Cons
– Only seven card slots which isn’t enough for bank cards, membership cards, etc
– Big in size meaning it takes up a bit of space in your small handbag.
Other Factors
– Price: It’s expensive for a wallet. Normal Prada wallets (without chain) are $100-$200 cheaper. so you need to consider if you want to splash out the extra cash for the chain. But this is definitely one of the reasonably priced wallet on chain (I think Chanel’s WOC is around 1.7k)
Overall
8.5/10. This Ferragamo wallet on chain is so classy and looks great on most. I really like it but sometimes I wish I had a normal wallet as it is quite a thick and big wallet. Anyway, the pros outweigh the cons, and I recommend it if you are interested in Ferragamo. Personally, many of my friends have the Prada Saffiano zip and continental wallet, I prefer Ferragamo as it is more unique.
UPDATE: It is now 21 Jan 2018 and I’m still loving this wallet. Looks great and I love it as a shoulder bag. It isn’t used everyday but it’s definitely a worthy bag to buy. The gold hardware more formal than the silver hardware (as above).

Hello! I can’t find this bag in Silver hardware on the Ferragamo website only the Gold hardware one is available. Is the one with Silver hardware discontinued? I really want the Silver hardware one! Thank you!
